The PermeaPlain Barrier is based on an uncoated regenerated cellulose hydrate membrane and enables the efficient screening of the passive mass transfer of novel drugs*. The diffusion of the separate drugs through the membrane can analyzed, independent of the polarity of the substance screened. Measurements with the Barrier are easy, fast and reproducibly applicable. Passive mass transport can be simulated by using the PermeaPlain Barrier in common Franz-cells, side-by-side diffusion cells or other setups. We recommend the usage in side-by-side diffusion cells, the Franz cells and customer specific diffusion cells.
