Description

Product Description

Matrigen Softslip is a variation of the Softwell® Hydrogel (Easy Coast/Collagen/Non-Activated) Plate. The difference is that Softslip is a hydrogel bound to 30mm #1 coverslips in a 6/12/24 well polystyrene plate instead of being bound directly onto the plate.

Softwell is a groundbreaking hydrogel that allows you to mimic the softness of various tissues in your cell culture experiments. It is so thin that you might not even notice it’s there, but your cells will definitely feel the difference.

  • Note: The stiffness of a material is commonly quantified by its elastic modulus (E). Softwell is available in a variety of stiffness values.
  • Coating: Easy Coatâ„¢ hydrogels are chemically activated to bind to your matrix protein of choice.
  • Collagen pre-coated hydrogels: All collagen-coated products use rat tail collagen type I. Bovine skin type I collagen can be used upon request.
  • Non-activated hydrogels: Non-activated hydrogels form a non-attachment surface. Please note that non-activated hydrogels constitute a non-binding surface, and therefore proteins, cells, or any other molecules can not bind to the hydrogel. Non-activated hydrogels are ideal for scientists who prefer to select a particular chemical cross-linking method or as a negative control.
